I'm a wife to my husband, Ted, of 18 years, and a mother to our four children: Sam (14), Abby (12), Ben (7) and Mary (almost 6). I've returned to work two years ago, after staying home full time with my kids for 7 years. I'm now working part time for a non-profit agency and thoroughly enjoying it! But life is crazy! I hope to share with you lessons learned, daily joys and frustrations, and reflections of faith.

First Post
I'm excited about starting this journey with you, wherever it takes us (whoever you are). Maybe you're a stay at home mom like me? Maybe not. I've taken this walk from being a full-time manager for a callcenter, to a 25 hour a week manager (in the same position) with one child, to a 15 hour a week hourly employee (HR database analyst) with two children, to home full time with child number three and four. I've gotten pregnant easily and I've had fertility problems. I've lost a pregnancy early and I've lost a pregnancy late. I've seen two year olds entertain a crowd with charm and sweetness and I've seen them with their face to the floor screaming their heads off. I've dealt with the dreaded, "Your child bit Mary today" (and left a mark for the parents to see). I've dealt with kids who trudged into our room nightly to sleep on the floor. I've felt totally proud and I've felt totally humiliated. And I've learned that we are just here to raise them up. They really don't belong to us. We can't take credit for all the things they do well and we can't take the blame for all the things they do wrong. There's a lot more I'm still learning. Come along for the ride!
